Hi there,
as you can see I have a lot of questions.
First of all I've already installed the Twonky Server 5.0.55 on my Buffalo Terastation Live (RAID 5 with 4x1.5TB Seagate HDD). As I can see it works so far over http://myip:9000.
1.
But now my first question:
At the menupoint shared documents I can decide which directory should be shared, right?
So I checked the box on the directory /.
After that I unchecked the box for the /array1/All/XXX.
But when I launch the MediaBrowser, it tells me that there are 270 videos stored but it doesn't list any videos (neither the videos they should be listed), but it counts all the videos (the hidden ones too) and shows all the directories that should be hidden. That's no good idea if your hidden dirs get listed.
How can I hide videos/photos and directories completely? Is it possible to enable and disable the videos/photos and directories by runtime or do I have to rebuild DB and rescan the storage? I want to hide the complete adult stuff for the youth and want to watch when no one is home.
2.
Next thing is that I'm behind a firewall and the PS3 is in another subnet (work and private). Which ports TCP/UDP do I have to open when I want to watch videos from my NAS on my PS3?
I want to do all this within 28 days (trial period) before I pay for software that won't fit for my purposes.
Has anyone tried another MediaServer than Twonky on Buffalo Terastation Live? Let me know.
Please help me!
TIA
