Hi
I have 2 x Freecom Network drives and used to be able to stream all my movies from these NAS drives to my PS3 however Sony decided to create an update that stop this happening and now after long Talks with Sony they have told me that i will need to update my firmware on my NAS drives.
My drives are currently sitting on Version 4.4.2.
Can anyone out there please help firstly with a link to the exact firmware that will work on my NAS drive and then Secondly any guide as to how to install the firmware
Any help would be great as i would like to start streaming my movies again
Kind Regards

Try changing the file extension to .mpg
This worked for me. Only problem is that you have to remember to do this for all the new files that you send, and then rescan the drive from within the Freecom software. Or turn the drive off and on again - though it takes a while for the drive to scan this way and can be frustrating IMO (especially on the PS3).
I use 'extchanger' to change the extension, as you can change the contents of an entire folder if need be.
Only problem being that it shows up as a video file lasting around 500mins. As long as that doesn't bother you, work away - as we say here in Northern Ireland.
Good luck mate!

From FW v2.40 the PS3 ID was changed from PLAYSTATION3 to PLAYSTATION 3 (note added space). v4.4.6 of TMS introduced 2 options for the PS3 in its clients.db file - one for up to and inc 2.3, and another for 2.40 and greater. Modify the entry in your clients.db file to include extra space and it should work again. Later versions of TMS seem to now just use one entry set to PLAYSTATION without the 3 at all so you could also try that.
