hi guys,

i've bought a new Medion NAS-System called "P89626" - dual core processor, 1,5TB HDD. Ini Information: "arm_zyxel".

The Configuration of Twonky is very important for me, but i can't access all options!?

If i watch at the web-GUI from twonky (http://ip-of-the-nas:9001 -> Port was changed by Medion, i think) i couldn't access for example the options at "network"... The link from the config page contains following options:
javascript:optionsShow(9,false)
I could access the *config.ini over RPC - contains following information:
accessuser= accesspwd= autotree=3 cachedir=/i-data/md0/.media/twonkymedia/db/cache cachemaxsize= clearclientsonrestart=0 clientautoenable=1 codepage=-1 compilationsdir=Compilations,Sampler contentbase=/ contentdir=+V|/mnt/mediaShares/video,+P|/mnt/mediaShares/photo,+M|/mnt/mediaShares/music dbdir=/i-data/md0/.media/twonkymedia/db dyndns= enableweb=2 followlinks=1 friendlyname=NAS-Server httpport=9001 httpremoteport= ignoredir=AppleDouble,AppleDB,AppleDesktop,TemporaryItems ip= ituneslib= language=de nicrestart=1 platform=arm_zyxel rtpport= scantime=-1 startupmb=1 streambuffer=16384 uploadenabled=0 uploadmusicdir=/i-data/md0/.media/twonkymedia/twonkymedia-server-uploaded-music uploadpicturedir=/i-data/md0/.media/twonkymedia/twonkymedia-server-uploaded-pictures uploadvideodir=/i-data/md0/.media/twonkymedia/twonkymedia-server-uploaded-videos onlinedir=/i-data/md0/.media/twonkymedia/twonkymedia-server-online-data v=8191 webnodes=MPV webpicturenum=0 mediastatisticsenabled=0 mediastatisticsdir=/i-data/md0/.media/twonkymedia/media-statistics/ defaultview=advanceddefault bgtrans= bgtransdir=/i-data/md0/.media/twonkymedia/twonkymedia-server-transcoding-data bgtransrpcport=9030 bgtransmaxsizemb=10000 rmdrives= rmhomedrive=/i-data/md0/.media/twonkymedia rmautoshare=0 ssdpttl=4 checkexternalitems= maxitems=0 suppressmenu=mediafeeds,transcoding,divAutoShare,divWebaccess,divTreetype,divLogfile,divNicrestart,divFriendlyname,divButtons,divLanguage,divMediaFusion,divContentdir,divScantime,divCompilationsdir,divPlaylistnumentries autoupdateinstall=0 disablelocalssdp=1 maxidletime=15
My Wish is to change ALL Options - like the "rescan on start" - or called "manual rescan".

I hope i could get some help here, sorry for my english, it's not very well... Im from Germany ;o

Thanks a lot!

one more question: could i update to twonky 6.x.x or better downgrade to 4.x.x??
and: where could i find the key from my NAS-System? There is no information in the manual!?
could i use the 5.x key for a 4.x version??

also i don't know, which way i could copy the newer or older version from twonky to my nas? i got only ftp-and telnet-access to that device...

Thanks one more time

This guide describes how to get/set config parameters that are hidden or not available in the Twonky Config UI on your NAS, as well as various action commands-
http://www.twonkyforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9364

This guide lists all of the get/set config options-
http://www.twonkyforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9497

Note however, you cannot suppress the rescan on start. Twonky must do a rescan on startup to ensure that its database is consistent with the file system. File system changes could have occurred while Twonky was not running, so Twonky needs to verify its database is current.

The Twonky software that comes pre-installed on NAS devices (generally) does not have license keys. The installed Twonky software is locked to the hardware and only the NAS manufacturer can provide a free update. .

If you want to install a newer version of Twonky than the NAS manufacturer provides then you must purchase a license from Twonky.

Hallo s4sch4,

-----------------------

I've changed some parameters by RPC on my device, but those settings aren't saved after i've restarted my NAS!? Is there any option to save those settings permanently??

Thanks for the links with RCP-Settings!

That would indicate that your NAS startup procedures are resetting the Twonky config file.

You will need to modify your NAS startup procedures so that it does not reset the Twonky config file.

Unfortunately I do not have a Medion NAS, so I cannot provide any guidance on how to change your NAS's startup procedures so that it preserves the Twonky config file.

Hi, kann dir keine pm schicken, gib hier im Forum mal frei, das Benutzer dir Mails schicken können :o

_______

Filesystem of the nas is "xfs", i cant mount it in windows as an typical sata-device... in xubuntu i could see the device in "gparted", but got still no idea how to modify the data in those two partitions... the nas is writing "xfs" and "jbod" on access,,,

EDIT: I've found another information about that NAS... it seems to be identical with the "Zyxel NSA-210"!? or "NAS 7820" (http://www.plxtech.com/products/consumer/nas7820)
