Hi,
i stream *.mkv-files from my TS-210 to my Samsung LE37C650 and everything works fine. You have to use the current version of the twonkyserver (i think its 6.0.37) to stream mkv-files.

The reason the old page was taken down is there is a new download page.

Re: Twonky Media Server on QNAP TS-210
Hi
I'm not that familiar with the 210, but I'd expect it would be the Kirkwood one that you'd need. Even though Qnap now bundles 6.0.34 in their latest firmware, for various reasons, you'd be best to first install the Qnap Twonky 6.0.34 QPKG version (which disables the one embedded in the firmware) then you'd likely get away with just overwriting the twonkymediaserver file (and maybe also clients.db) in the .qpkg directory with the ones from the 6.0.38 Kirkwood package (you'll have to first stop the QPKG version before it will let you overwrite the twonkymediaserver file). You could then add the two missing mediafusion files (again from the unzipped Kirkwood package) and that would also enable the online stuff (Shoutcast etc). Of course, if you do replace the Qnap twonkymediaserver file, you'd also need to buy a Twonky licence or it will time out in 30 days.
NB Qnap hide the online media setup page, so after installing the mediafusion files, you need to make an RPC call (entered via your browser) to show the settings menu. I can't remember it off the top of my head (I have it as a bookmark in my PC web browser) but when the PC is on (later today) I'll amend this post to include it.

Re: Twonky Media Server on QNAP TS-210
ok, i'm done with TM ...
i'm thinked: maybe my TV Samsung is crappy ... doesnt play MKV and DTS and others file formats. I have fully upgraded Qnap firmware with 6.0.34 TM. And the same. Doesnt play MKV and DTS. AVI via low resoluttion only with mp3 and AC3 sound works ... But picture quality via standard AVI file 700 MB on 40" TV looks really bad : ) i wanted full 1080p. Exactly before im thinked about buy a license for TM. But im tired and im found another media server. TVMOBILI. Everything works so good. 1080p, 720p with DTS, DOLBY and others. Maybe if Twonky programmers will do better work and all will be works fine im back to twonky. Now im jus say good bye ; )

Re: Twonky Media Server on QNAP TS-210
Although it probably won't make a difference to you, I feel the need to point out that Twonky is a media SERVER and your TV is the media PLAYER. We're serving the files fine, you just need a device which can play them.
