Issue registering serial

Post by Paxx23 » Tue Jun 03, 2014 10:45 am

Hello people,

maybe someone could help me. I have Twonky 7.2.7 running in my NAS, but i cant register my serial. After typing it in, it seems working, but after a restart, Twonky Server wont start up anymore. I had to reinstall everything.

My fix is atm to run in Trial mode because then rebooting is possible.

I also contacted Twonky support, but they dont answer me. Im interessted in more contact datas of them.

Please help me!

Hello,

Try copying (including dashes) and pasting your serial number in the right most box in Twonky's web interface. This worked for me. Good luck.

What NAS are you using? Are you able to access it with SSH or telnet?

My first guess is that Twonky has problems to write the serial in the ini file.
After you entered the serial take a look at your twonkyserver.ini file if the serial is entered there (the option is called cdkey)
You get the location of the ini file wtih:
http://ip-of-NAS:9000/rpc/get_all (search for inipath)
Check if the file is writable.

You could also try to add the serial with the following command:
http://ip-of-NAS:9000/rpc/set_option?cdkey=YOUR-KEY
