Which Twonky 8 build for WD MyCloud (single drive)

Post by bcormel » Wed Feb 03, 2016 10:51 pm

I need clarification on which build is used for the WD MyCloud (single drive, 4tb)
I have my MyCloud's updated to 7.2.9 with no issues.
Using the same procedure to update to the 8.2 is failing so I figure I have the wrong build.
Why failed? I don't know. For Twonky version 7 I was using
<Linux ARM little endian glibc 2.2.5>(go figure: i'm not even sure it's the correct version)
but I t doesn't seem to work for version 8.
The platform request responds with <armel_gcc473_glibc215_64k> so I also tried
<Linux ARM little endian glibc 2.15>
Also failed.
The server fails to start with errors. I shouldn't get any errors.
I read somewhere it might be the Kirkwood build, but i'm not sure anymore. Make no sense.
Has the update procedure changed for the MyCloud for Twonky 8?
I've never had these issues before.
I did update a MyBook Live to 8.2 a day ago with no issues. it runs great. (different build however, uses <Linux powerpc-glibc-2.2.5-8.2>)
Anyone?

I'm starting to wonder if the culprit is the latest WD firmware update.
It recently updated to WD Firmware v04.04.02-105
Any ideas?
Will the next build take the new firmware into consideration?
