Change Shared Folder Structure

Post by mjmaskrey » Wed Mar 16, 2016 8:43 am

Hi,

I've been using Twonky (currently on v8.2) on a QNAP for a while but don't know too much about it (apologies in advance) and would like assistance on changing the shared folder structure.

I have the folders on my NAS:

Movies/subfolders/files
TV Shows/subfolders/files
Kids/Movies/subfolders/files
3D Movies/subfolders/files

When using Twonky it combines everything Video/Subfolders/files, how can I get that to match my original folders making it easier to navigate content? Ideally wanting:

Video/Movies/subfolders/files
Video/TV Shows/subfolders/files
Video/Kids/Movies/subfolders/files
Video/3D Movies/subfolders/files

Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers, Marc

I have a similar issue.

Have setup Multimedia Folder structure along the lines of :
Multimedia/Videos
Multimedia/Videos/Films
Multimedia/Videos/Films 4k
Multimedia/Videos/TV Shows
Multimedia/Videos/Music
Multimedia/Videos/Music/Concerts
Multimedia/Videos/Music/Music Videos
Multimedia/Videos/Documentary
Multimedia/Music
Multimedia/Photos

I have added all these folders individually to the "Shared Folders" listing in Twonky and specified what media is in each ( I have also added the root /Multimedia shared folder too specified with All Content Types

Have also set "Navigation Tree" to "By Folder" however when browsing from my Smart TV, at the top level all I can see is Vidoe andMusic folders, Then go into Video, I would expect to see the folders within that as above but do not. There is a further By Folder Option, but that simply lists all videos (seeming in all of the folders aggregated together in one long list !

Any thoughts ?
