QNAP Twonky Server with VLC limited entries 155

Hi All,
i have a QNAP server using Twonky and VLC clients throughout. the problem i am encountering is I have over 700+ movie files however the VLC clients can only see 155 files. I also have WD TV client and that see's all 700+ files on Twonky DLNA/UPNP server howerver VLC seems to stop at 155.
any ideas?
