Hi. After weeks of googling and talking to you guys here I have found out that the Qnap TS-100 is a pile of pants when acting as a stand-alone NAS. It's going back with a full refund to me.

Here is what I am after, a NAS that will allow me to install and configure applications and therefore give me full browse control from the NAS to play all my MP3s, without having the computer switched on.

I am using a Soundbridge as my player, hooked up to my sound system. The NAS will connect to my wireless router.

QNAP TS-101 with TwonkyMedia built-in is a good choice.
