I'm thinking of buying one of these -

Lacie Ethernet Disk RAID

Is it possible to install Twonky on it? It's running Linux 2.6 apparently.

The LaCie unit is VERY similiar (almost identical in appearance too) to the Intel SS4000-e (I believe that Thecus, USR (USR8700), Freedom9 and Kano) also OEM the design as well. http://www.intel.com/design/servers/storage/ss4000-e/ and I believe that Dr.Frankenstein (and perhaps others) have been able to get TwonkyVision working on it from previous posts that I was able to search for on the Internet. I just bought an Intel SS4000-e and it arrived late last week, so I'll be able to tell you soon if it works by testing the process myself, assuming that I can get the information to do so.

Any luck loading TwonkyVision on the intel SS4000-E?
I also have this unit and would love to load TwonkyVision on it.

Any update on this? I too have a Intel ss4000-e NAS and would LOVE to stream media off of it to my ps3. Any updates or help would be greatly appreciated. If I get this working I will try and get a how-to together for everyone.

I have successfully installed twonky 4.1 on it, has anyone tried to get the latest 4.5 installed?

can you please post as to how you managed to install it?
