Why is the Infrant ReadyNAS version changed to .SIT??

Post by sigwolf » Sun Jul 08, 2007 8:30 pm

Why has Twonky suddenly (as of 4.4b5) decided to compress only the Infrant version with the Mac-centric ".SIT" when all other NAS installs are ".ZIP"? There is nothing Mac specific, or even related, about the Infrant ReadyNAS. What is the reasoning here, and could you please upload a version with a more cross-platform friendly compression?

Or better yet, can you just upload the uncompressed .BIN file like all previous versions. The file size between the .SIT and previous .BIN files is exactly the same down to the byte, meaning no compression is being achieved anyway.

EDIT: Disregard the compression, it now appears that the file is a native BIN with the wrong extension. Someone at Twonky should probably fix the extension to avoid further confusion.
