Any Linux buffs willing to help with an experiment?

I believe that the Buffalo Terastation Live (ARM processor) NAS is capable of transcoding .flac to .wav as I have had firefly doing just that. But I want to use Twonky to retain the .jpg, .flac/ .mp3, .mpg capabilities.

However, the .flac plug in hasn't been compiled for the Buffalo NAS platform.

I've never compiled any code before on Linux.

Would someone be prepared to give me a run down of what steps I would need to take to compile the code here to run it up on the Terastation (ARM processor) and see if I we can get .flac transcoding working?

Any help gratefully appreciated!

Pete
