I installed twonkyvision on a Maxtor Shared Storage II in an attempt to get streaming working to a Nokia 770.

- The Maxtor upnp server hadn't worked with the 770
- Twonky on my Windows XP laptop worked fine with the 770
- Twonky on the Maxtor seemed to install fine. I can visit the admin pages and see that the server is running (from the 770). I can telnet in and see twonky is running.

However, Twonky on the Maxtor does not show up in either of the 770 streaming apps (Mediastreamer and Canola)

Has anybody else got this particular combination to work? Any suggestions?

Following up on my own post: the problem in this case was that my router was blocking UPnP discovery. After much struggling, the solution was to buy a new router. It looks like my old router (the Linksys BEFSR41) is not recommended for anyone that wants to use UPnP.

Now that I have everything working, Twonky looks pretty good.
