NAS Synology DS-106j configuration

Post by Disky » Tue Nov 13, 2007 10:58 am

How can I get arround config error "page not found"? http://192.168.1.36:9000/configpage/index.html (even after cache cleared!)
I have installed server via the complete package downloaded for
NAS Synology DS-106j. Then message: Server installed, for configuration go to....:9000. However, I can open 192.168.1.36:5000 to get to the complete Synology Config menu but find nothing about Twonky.
(When opening Synology as admin, I cannot find any file or hint regarding Twony in "public" or elsewhere. But maybe this isn't supposed to be anyway???)
In case I have to "open" a specific port, how would I do that?
PS I work basically from Mac OS 10.4.7
Thank you kindly for any help!

I had a similar issue when loading twonky on to my linkstation. Look carefully at the progress window to make sure all the files have been successfully created. I was getting the message that the server was installed but whn I used telnet to have a look around there were no fiels there at all.
In my case I was using the wrong twonky package. Once I'd sorted that out it loaded, all files were visible and web browser on 9000 worked first time. Hope this helps.
