NAS and PS3

Post by serial » Sat Dec 29, 2007 12:20 am

Hi 2 all.

My problem: my NAS communicates via WiFi to the PS3. The PS3 shows the mediaserver and when i connect - there are very often disconnects.

I got the newest firmware on the PS3 (2.1) and TwonkyMediaServer 4.4.2?

Has anyone a solution for this prob?

Have you tried v4.4.3.1 ? There is a known problem with DivX and the PS3 that is fixed in this version. There is more info in the Beta testing forum on this site. I have a NSLU2 and its pretty stable with this version.

right, v4.4.3.1 is working fine with PS3 2.1. I'm using wifi so the wifi could be a problem as well.
I'm using a DLINK DNS-323

I found the version here: http://www.twonkyvision.com/Download/Tw ... cians.html

I directly installed the new version, I didn't try to update

thankz 4 your infos. I downloaded the software from the location you told me. After I unzipped the file I read the revision history and there i found exactly the same problem that I have with my ps3.
Known issues:
- if the server runs on a system with multiple NICs it disappears from time to time from the PS3
fix: you need to set the IP address of one NIC in the server configuration
sorry i am not an english speaker. can somebody translate me what i have to do to fix this prob. what is ment by nic?
nicknames?
