LaCie Ethernet Big Disk only serving 3084 music files

Hi there,

I noticed the FAQ for TwonkyMedia says it can only index up to 300 subdirectories, but I only have 213. Now, when using the webbrowser from the twonkymedia-installation directly, I get access to all 4110 songs, but when using a DAAP-client, I only get 3084 songs. The systemlog in the LaCie-unit also says "mt-daapd[n]: Serving 3084 songs. Startup complete in 14 seconds". This number never changes.. So every new tune I save to it is "out of reach"... quite irritating. Anyone know how to get around this?

I'm using LaCie sw 1.1.2.1 and have patched it to get access to the TwonkyMedia web admin-page (running TwonkyMedia v4.4.2).

So, does anyone have a clue?

I have done a little digging to verify all files, so there shouldn't be a problem with the DAAP-server not serving the files because of incompatabilities:

Code: Select all

$ find . -print0 -name \*mp3 | xargs -I{} -0 mp3info -x {} 2>/dev/null > mp3db.txt
$ grep "Audio:" mp3db.txt | wc
   4067   25506  177117
$ grep "Audio:" mp3db.txt | sort | uniq
Audio: 112 kbps, 44 kHz (joint stereo)
Audio: 128 kbps, 44 kHz (dual channel)
Audio: 128 kbps, 44 kHz (joint stereo)
Audio: 128 kbps, 44 kHz (mono)
Audio: 128 kbps, 44 kHz (stereo)
Audio: 128 kbps, 48 kHz (joint stereo)
Audio: 160 kbps, 44 kHz (joint stereo)
Audio: 160 kbps, 44 kHz (stereo)
Audio: 192 kbps, 44 kHz (joint stereo)
Audio: 192 kbps, 44 kHz (stereo)
Audio: 192 kbps, 48 kHz (stereo)
Audio: 224 kbps, 48 kHz (stereo)
Audio: 256 kbps, 44 kHz (joint stereo)
Audio: 256 kbps, 44 kHz (stereo)
Audio: 320 kbps, 44 kHz (joint stereo)
Audio: 320 kbps, 44 kHz (stereo)
Audio: 32 kbps, 44 kHz (stereo)
Audio: 64 kbps, 44 kHz (mono)
Audio: 80 kbps, 44 kHz (mono)
Audio: 96 kbps, 44 kHz (joint stereo)
Audio: Variable kbps, 44 kHz (joint stereo)
Audio: Variable kbps, 44 kHz (stereo)
Audio: Variable kbps, 48 kHz (stereo)
So it verifies 4067 files are in fact MP3 audio files. No reason for only serving 3084 files!?

So what does this update do? Is it the same as the TwonkyServer_Web_admin-1.0.0.signed patch that opens up the web admin-page?

It fixes the problem when the iTunes server of Big Disk doesn't serve all files. You install it the same way as the web admin update, but this thing only fixes it so that all files on the big disk are served.
