Synology CS-406 core dump files

Hi, I've been having problems with my Synology Cube Station for a while, first of all I notice that the hard drives are always spinning, which I'd like to stop. I didn't know why, but now I suspect that it is the Twonky Media client that is responsible.
But the main problem right now is that Twonky media is creating a large number of core files and thus used up all of my remaining storage capacity.
I literally have hundreds of files that look like this....
@twonkymediaserv.core.29527
@twonkymediaserv.core.29492
.
.
.
The questions is, how do I remove them? I am having trouble with the @ symbol in linux. And how do I stop Twonky Media from creating all these core dumps?
Thanks in advance for your help.
