Twonky on Thecus N2100 wired to router

Post by u33db » Sat Oct 04, 2008 9:56 pm

Hi,

i have been running twonky sucessfully for the past 5 months on a wireless Win 2003 box in my loft.

Today i upgraded to a Thecus N2100 but can't seem to get my media receiver (Netgear EVA700) to find the new twonky instance.

Old Setup: Netgear EVA700 player (wireless), Dlink g624 router, Win2k3 server (wireless) running twonky.
New Setup: Netgear EVA700 player (wireless), Dlink g624 router, Thecus N2100 running Twonky WIRED DIRECTLY into router.

I expected it may be the EVA700 at fault but neither that or WMP can find it so that leaves the other 2 pieces of equipment.

As the router required no additional settings for the previous setup (which is still running) i'm leaning towards the N2100/Twonky setup...is there additional step i'm not aware of?

I can access the twonky config pages just fine so maybe a port needs opened somewhere?

Please help! :(
