Does Twonky + LaCie 5big Network = media sharing to PS3?

First post here. Hello all.

Basic question is this: Can I turn any NAS into a media server?

I'm interested in the Lacie 5Big Network 7.5TB w/ TwonkyVision.

Do you know if I can install TwonkyVision on that model LaCie NAS and serve A/V to my PS3 and/or my DirecTV HR20-700 & Win XP laptop? I have lots of hi def home movies that I need to store. I would like to back up the edited movies to the LaCie, which will be directly connected to my Apple Time Capsule to be used as a router, and then be able to play them across the home network to the PS3 or HR20-700.

Would that configuration work for music, photos, and video?
Failing that, could I just install TwonkyVision on my iMac and serve video from that LaCie networked drive?
I'm fairly savvy but I will be first to admit I'm not an expert on any of this. :)

In searching this site, I've seen where most LaCie w/ Twonky questions are geared toward iTunes. I'm more interested in streaming to the PS3 and HR20-700 .... and maybe my laptop.
thank you in advance for your help.
