Problem connecting to Twonky.

I do not know what happened, but I am not able to connect to Twonky. I was able before but now I cannot open the config page.

Initially I install Twonky 4.4.5 over a year ago on LS-Live. I followed the directions described here http://forum.buffalo.nas-central.org/vi ... =39&t=2999 and everything was working. I was able to see the Twonky on PS3. Then I moved. Once I setup the network in the new place I was no longer able to open the config page. I figured no worries, I just go through the instructions again and it will be fine. Well I was wrong.

Since there were many updates to twonky I decided to upgrade. So I downloaded the latest 4.4.14 version for LS-Live and started the upgrade. I was able to telnet, I was able to un-tar the addon.tar file, I even was able to install actual twonky using the nas installer. At the end of the installation it even said that:

The server is installed at /mnt/disk1/share on your LINKSTATIONLIVE
The autostart script as /etc/init.d/twonky on your LINKSTATIONLIVE
The web interface is at http://192.168.x.xxx:9000/configpage/index.html

But when I type http://192.168.x.xxx:9000/configpage/index.html in the browser al I get is "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 192.168.x.xxx:9000." I notice that twonkyvision-mediaserver.ini has the port as 9010, so I changed virtual server to 9010 on my Dlink DIR-825 router and try to connect to http://192.168.0.110:9010/configpage/index.html, but still could not connect.

I even deleted the twonky folder completely and did fresh install, but still could not connect. At this point I do not know what to do. I search and search, but could not find any solutions.

Your help and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I am not running the Twonky Windows Media server. I am installing the NAS version, which only installs on the NAS device and Twonky server accessed only through the web interface.

Yes, I know - but nevertheless the twonkymedia server process should run on the NAS and listen on port 9010 or default 9000.
As You wrote that You have checked the ini file and have manually started the server, I was assuming that You have console access to Your NAS and therefore have also the possibility to check which processes are running.

Hi,

Same Problem for me :?
Updated Twonky to version 4.4.15 on my Buffalo LinkstationPro (FW 1.15) Linux 2.6.16.16-arm1
Now i cant login any more to http://192.168.178.39:9000/configpage/index.html

What i can see on my NAS, that the process "twonkymediaserv" comes up with status Z (Zombie) and died then.
Process twonkymedia is running with status S.

Any suggestions about that ?

Many regards
Guido

My knowledge of Linux is very limited. I don't know how to check what services I am running. Can you kindly tell me how to do that.

Thanks.

Sorry for the late reply, I was on vacation with no access to the net.

The linux command for showing the process list is "ps -ax"

Hi,
on linkstation only "ps" (without any options) works. If command "ps" is used, you should see two processes
/mnt/disk1/twonky/twonkymedia and /mnt/disk1/twonky/twonkymediaserver which show status S.
There are a lot of reports about some twonky releases not running properly on buffalo linkstations. Had the same problem on my linkstation pro. Newest twonky versions running stable on linkstation are (as i know) 4.4.6, 5.0.55 and 5.0.65.
