ts 809 pro and twonky 5.1.2 - config file error?

Post by lord_strange » Tue Feb 09, 2010 2:14 pm

I'm trying to set up remote media streaming over the web from my qnap ts 809-pro using twonkymedia 5.1.2 via a d-link dir-655 router using d-link's dyn dns service.

I know the dyndns is working correctly as I can remotely access http://[mydyndnsaddress]:81 on the qnap's web server from my work PC.

But when I try to navigate to http://[mydyndnsaddress]:9100 or 9100/webbrowse, the page is not found.

Here's the twonkyvision-mediaserver.ini.file from /mnt/ext/opt/twonkymedia on the 809, edited to include these two lines thanks to the helpful people on these forums:

dyndns=http://[myaddress:9100
httpremoteport=9100

and with enableweb=1

"contentbase=/share
contentdir=/Qmultimedia
friendlyname=TwonkyMedia [%HOSTNAME%]
dbdir=/mnt/HDA_ROOT/twonkymedia/twonkymedia.db
httpport=9000
dyndns=http://[myaddress]:9100
httpremoteport=9100
enableweb=1
scantime=120
startupmb=0
platform=TS-Series NAS
cachemaxsize=100240
ignoredir=AppleDouble,AppleDB,AppleDesktop,TemporaryItems
suppressmenu=mediafeeds"

On the d-link, under 'advanced > virtual server' I have set the same ip as for the webserver, and the lan & wan port both set to 9100, but it doesn't work. I tried using 'advanced > port forwarding' with the same settings with no better result. I've restarted the twonky server and the d-link router multiple times but still no joy. Any suggestions would be welcome.
