On N5200 Twonky Media requires restart to show up on player

Post by sgunn » Wed Feb 17, 2010 6:11 pm

I'm running Twonky Media Server 5.1 on my Thecus N5200 NAS. It's packaged as a NAS module available through the Thecus Wiki at:

http://www.onbeat.dk/thecus/index.php/N ... WONKYMEDIA

My media player is an Oppo BDP-83 Blu Ray player, which has networking and (experimental) DLNA support.

The issue I'm seeing is that after I rescan content in Twonky, or after any extended period of not using it, I have to restart Twonky in order for it to show up on the Oppo. After I restart Twonky, it immediately shows up as a source on the Oppo and works fine.

I tried turning on logging in Twonky, but that spewed so much stuff into the logs that I immediately turned it back off.

I'm really not sure if the problem is on the Twonky side or the Oppo side, and I don't know how I can determine this.

Thanks for any help.

Stephen
