Hi all, I have been reading about other people's problems with Samsung LED TVs DLNA and Buffalo NAS drives (mine are both on the latest firmware - TV on ver3001.1 & NAS on ver2.11)
My Samsung TV only plays MPG & VOB files over the network but plays all supported files via USB.
I have heard it said that a Twonky NAS server upgrade may solve the problem and am willing to try it.
My question is; can anyone tell me if this is the root cause of my DLNA problem and will I have to pay for a licence for the NAS server version?
Cheers,
Sio.

Re: Linkstation HomeServer HS-DH500GL Twonky Upgrade
failed at the first hurdle! the NAS seems to be rejecting the telnet request from the upgrade application. networking is fine as I can HTTP and map a drive to the NAS anyone know why this would be? (All firewalls are off)

this was because the HS-DH500GL has not be set up to accept Telnet sessions but ACP_COMMANDER

will sort this out.
I have now encountered another problem with permissions but thought I would update to help others.
