Picture resolution from NAS device

I have a wired network and on the network sits an Iomega ix2-200 StorCenter network drive. On this drive I have all my media, photos (JPG format), videos and music files.

When I access pictures via my DLNA compliant Sony Bravia TV, also wired to the same network, I can only see images that are 640x480 pixels in size or less. ALL other pictures that are a larger resolution than this cannot be seen.

Using Twonky on my laptop, the TV can see the same images that reside on my laptop and view these without problem, so the issue clearly lies within the Iomega NAS device.

I understand the NAS disk uses Twonky too, how can I change the settings or do what has to be done to get my TV to view images that are greater than 640x480 pixels directly from the Twonky NAS disk ?

Most pictures these days are greater than 640x480 pixels in size so this seems a considerable restriction.

I have the same problem:

Twonky Server is running on an QNAP NAS192+, the TV for looking the poictures is a LG 47LX9500.
I see the overview of the loaded pictures, but, if I try to open one, I see only a small 160 * 102 px great "picture", a smal box in grey with a red mark in it.

How can I change the seetings for my TV? The serve find on the ip a generic media viewer.

THX for anly help.

Andreas

Here are some suggestions you might want to try:

Locate the file called 'clients.db' and try editing the the TR: line for your device.

In general one of these two options should work (depends if the player wants to see the full size JPEG on first or second position):

TR:JPEGORG,JPEG160x160

OR

TR:JPEG160x160,JPEGORG
