Twonky v6 keeps "forgetting" settings

Post by farouche » Wed May 18, 2011 11:06 pm

Dear forum,

I recently managed to get the latest Twonky version on my NAS, a Freecom Datatank, that originally includes a v4 of Twinky. In generel it works like a charm, until the Twonky Server or the device is restarted. If this happens the important settings of Twonky like the path to the media or the database are gone.

Is this because I use the unregistered test version? If yes, that would be quite stupid, because it keeps me from buying the license. If not, what else can it be? :?

Thanks for your help!

No, it's because your installation has put the ini file into a folder that gets deleted each time the NAS restarts - often the /var folder.
