Changing default port of 9000 breaks Config pages ?

I'm running Twonky Media on a Centos 5.6 box which has my music collection, to a few DLNA devices around the home.

However, I'm looking to move the default port from 9000 to 9001 for the web GUI admin pages.

Advice I found here was to edit the "twonkymedia-server-default.ini" file and change the port from 9000 to 9001.

I found this file on my Centos box here:

/usr/local/twonkymedia/twonkymedia-server-default.ini

After restarting, it all looks OK initally iwwht the Web GUI Launching from port 9001. However, if you follow the link to the configuration page ( eg http://192.168.1.5:9001/config ) , I then get a 401 'Unauthorised' error which implies something is broken in the authentication.

Any ideas how to fix so Twonkyserver will run happily off Port 9001 ?

It sounds like you've already done this, but I'm sending the instructions in case you've missed any steps like restarting the server.

How to change the HTTP port from 9000 to something else (say 9100)
Locate you’re the .ini file for TwonkyServer. The path to the .ini file is displayed on the server config page. Open the twonkymedia-server.ini file. Make sure you’re not editing the twonkymedia-server-default.ini file, since that is only used during the install process. Edit the INI file with a text editor. If you want to change to port 9100, you’d enter httpport=9100. Make sure to restart TwonkyServer after making the change in the .ini file.

Just been back to double check my config, and it was set to 9001. Rebooting or restarting the box still caused the 401 authentication error.

You mentioned port 9100, so I changed 9001 to 9100 and did a full reboot of the box .... and it now works!

No idea why this should happen, just pleased to have it working again now.
