I am considering upgrading my current NAS to the Synology DS411+ii which has an Intel Atom D525 1.8GHz x86 Processor 64-bit. It's been easy figuring out which Twonky NAS build to use till now because it is named after the model I have. I see that there are a couple of Linux x86 builds, but I have no idea whether one of them could be installed on the DS411+ii. Can someone give me some advice?

Thanks in advance! I won't buy a NAS I can't run Twonky on...

I don't know! I am using the Synology media server on my DS411+II, and it works well. No problems like the ones I had years ago.

Well, I would like to use the Synology Media Server but my problem is that my cable TV-box (DLNA supported) refuses to see the NAS. I have Twonky Media Server up and running on my MacBook and that's no problem for my TV-box.

I would like to install Twonky on my NAS just to see if it is a Synology Media Server-problem or if it's a problem on the TV-box.

Did you set up your Media Server or your DLNA device in a special way or did you just enabled the services?

Nope, I just renamed my media directories to the Synology standards and enabled the Media Server. I don't use any of the stuff like Audio Station or Photo Station. All of my DLNA clients see the Media Server, and photos and videos are presented properly.

I still don't know which Twonky Server version we should use. I would prefer to use Twonky, because the Synology Media Server made thumbnails of all my 15,000 photos and that use up a bunch of space!

Otherwise, I love the NAS. It's wonderful!

If it was possible to run Twonky Media Server on a 411 + II, surely someone here would have said so? This is a Twonky forum and any employee of the Twonky Team ought to have responded in such a case, you would think ... Your first post is, after all, 6 months old.

I installed TVMOBiLi on my NAS instead, works GREAT!

Sorry for the delay. Most people were away for the holidays. I don't have an answer but there are many experts on this board which can answer this.
