Use FLASH MP3 PLAYER for playback in MediaBrowser 4.2 + 4.3

Post by HaPe » Sun Apr 15, 2007 7:54 pm

Hi,

i changed the MediaBrowser.js of TwonkyMedia 4.2 again. It uses the FLASH MP3 PLAYER to play mp3 and m3u files.
Here is a screenshot:

You can download the changed version here: Flash MP3 Player for TwonkyMedia 4.2

I hope you enjoy it

Hi, I have Twonkymedia 4.2 installed but have no knowledge of linux. Could you please tell me exactly how I go about replacing the exsting mediabrowser.js with this one? Do I need to telnet, reinstall, overright the file in the resource directory in the public share or what?

Thanks

Sorry Hape, I didnt read the readme.txt before my previous post.
Anyway I copied the file and it works fine in Firefox.

The only problem, once i click on a song to play it asks me for a username and password.
I need to enter the admin account name and password before I can listed to the file.
How can I get round this?

Thanks

Happy to hear that.

The reason for that is that I need to use the link that is used to load pages for the admin interface to load the player. This is the folder that Twonky simulates to load all pages from.
At the moment I have no quick solution.

Sorry

I have found a workaround. Just redownload from the link above. The version is now V070417.

Working with 4.3

Post by HaPe » Thu May 17, 2007 7:21 pm

Hi,

only for your information. You can use the same version for 4.3 as the Mediabrowser part has not changed.

All the best

Flash Player Detection

Post by AlanB » Tue May 22, 2007 12:06 pm

Hi,

I am using IE7 and instead of getting the Flash MP3 Player in the window I get the "Get the Flash Player" link. Pressing F5 (page refresh) then loads the player. I have tried this on three machines and get consistantly the same result. I am using Flash Player 9.0.45.0.

Hope someone can help!

I've just tried it with IE6 - with the same result! I am a bit surprised, I would have expected others to have seen this problem :?

Thanks for the info and the flowers. Nice to know that opera works too. I only tried IE and Firefox.

Wonderful! I just wanted the client NOT to rewrite the access URL to the internal NIC of my twonkyserver, so I could create an ssh-tunnel from work with a simple port forward. This does the trick! Good work!
