For some of my music, TwonkyMusic shows the genre as a number instead of a name. It doesn't do this for all of my music. Any idea what's going on?
I suspect that TwonkyMusic doesn't recognize the genre, so it makes one up. If that's what's going on, how do I teach TwonkyMusic new genres?
I'm running TwonkyMusic 4.1 on a new installation of Ubuntu 6.10 for i386.
Genre appears as a number
I have noticed the same thing, although it seems twonky is displaying the number AND the name, so it isn't because it isn't recognising the genre. Makes it a bit awkward navigating by genre on an MP101 though as all the numbers are listed first.
Twonky 4.2.1 is running on an NSLU2.
Any ideas what is causing this ?

No, actually I can't Christian ...
It was my mistake, these tracks were actually duplicates but while checking this I think I've found the problem.
It is tracks labeled with ID3v2.4 tags that appear as numbered genres instead of text. Version 2.3 and 1.1 tags display genre correctly.
Is this a known limitation ? and if so, will v.2.4 tags be supported in future ?
P.S. I'm still looking through files to see if I can find a v.2.4 tagged file that displays genre correctly.
