What format on my DVD library
Post

Hi
Im thinking of ripping all my DVDs and storing them on a server with twonkyvision on it, and use my ps3 to play them. Two questions:
What format should I store the DVDs in if I want it lossless and preferably with some tagging ability.
Will the ps3 be able to do upscaling on streamed media, or is there transcoding on the fly in twonky that can do some upscaling to a format supported by the ps3? (I dont think I can afford enough harddrives to store DVDs in an upscaled format)
Thanks
K

Problem (or not) is that you don't have DD 5.1 or more only Stereo in MP4 file!

MP4 does support 5.1, but the PS3 does not support playing the 5.1 sound from any video file as of yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that a firmware update fixes that soon though!!
