Streaming AVCHD to PS3?
Post

I'm getting a Sony HDR-SR7 camcorder. If I copy the video files (mt2s?) to my PC, can Twonky stream it to the PS3 without problems?

I have the HD-SR1E. You can stream the AVCHD files to the PS3 via UPnP but you need to change the file extension from .m2ts to .mpg or the files will not be recognised.

Awesome... that's good to hear!
Why do you have to rename it? Is it because of Twonky or the PS3?

I'm 99% sure it will be twonky, not recognising m2ts as a valid video format that it can offer to the client.
Christian, if you read this, is it possible to enable .m2ts in the client.db for PS3 - Thanks

Can we edit the client.db file ourselves? It would be great to not have to rename the m2ts files!
