Very Large Libraries

I've downloaded the demo and am considering purchasing the TM server to extend my server to my PS3. I have set up the server with access to my music folder and pointed the external apps page to my itunes library.

Let me pause here and say that I've tried every other feature and it works great and I knew this would be a problem but I thought I'd ask anyway.

When I add my itunes library and shared folder the processor pegs at 90% and continues until I end the TM server. I have a large itunes library. Very large. It tends to crash everything else I point at it but I was hoping TM would support it somehow. Especially if it would just reffer to the existing XML file instead of loading the entire library into it's own DB. Well it seems to lock up after adding about 35621 items.

Any advice? Any way I could somehow filter the items added to limit the size of the DB but still get some of the library integration functionality?

Two suggestions: Turn on logging and see if the filescanner is actually hanging on something, and lastly, it's best to severely limit the music tree in this circumstance..IOW Artist only for example. G'Luck!
