How to automatically rescan folders at 3 A.M. every day?

Post by Tim » Tue Nov 13, 2007 7:25 am

Dear Forum,

how do I tell Twonky to automatically rescan the folders at 3 A.M. every day?
I know that I can set the time value to 1440 (minutes) which would cause a daily rescan. But how can I choose 3 o'clock in the morning as a fixed point in time?

Thanks for any help in advance
Tim

Looking at resources/TwonkyMediaConfig.js reveals that the URL for rescanning the DB is http://127.0.0.1:9000/rpc/rescan

Using wget in a cron job lets you rescan the DB whenever you like.

Thanks a lot, Andreas!

Ooops, I never supposed the solution would be that easy! :)
Well, I guess I first have to read a few cron-tutorials before I start working on this. Nonetheless, this should point me in the right direction.

Vielen Dank und schöne Grüße von Wandlitz nach Kleinmachnow
