Generic Question(s): Playstation 3 with TV 4.4.2 on Linux

Post by ThyMaster » Fri Nov 30, 2007 9:54 am

Hi Folks,

I'm planning to buy a PS3 and therefore searched this forum on available information on this combo.

Still a few questions are open, so I will fire them up here:

1. I ripped a lot of my DVDs with Nero 8 into the MP4/AVC format using best quality. Do these files stream over PS3 (with FW 2.01+)?

2. The above MP4/AVC files incl. 2 audio streams (both 5.1) and 2 subtitles. Do they show on a PS3 and can I select them individually?

3. Does MP3 cover art woks with PS3?

Well, that's what I come across so far which I haven't really found in this forum, so your answers are very highly appreciated!

Thx in advance

MP3 cover art works fine.

MP4/AVC works, but I have only tried stereo, not 5.1.

I personally use PS3Video9 to encode to H264/AVC profile.
