Twonky 4.4/ubuntu - some but not all media is visible

Post by kitae » Sat Dec 08, 2007 8:31 pm

I've installed Twonky 4.4 on my ubuntu gibon system. I'm able to see some videos but not all videos. I am browsing my media using the web interface provided at the config url.

For example, I have 12 videos (TV series) that were all encoded using the same settings. Twonky finds 3 of those videos, but not the other 9. I do not have a large amount of media, just a couple dozen video files in my share.

I've checked and the permissions and owners of these files are all the same.

I've tried reinstalling, deleting my database, rescanning, rebuilding my database, the result is always the same.

I think once I was actually seeing different files (bizarre) but still not seeing all.

Any tips? I've looked at the logs while scanning to look for useful error messages and I didn't see anything.

I installed the OS-X version of twonky 4.4.2 on my lap top (same version as on my ubuntu box) and on that box I can see all 12 of the tv episodes!
