Wireless network thing....

Post by Kos » Thu Dec 20, 2007 7:29 pm

I have two clients - a Noxon iRadio and a Philips SLA5520. Until yesterday they both performed perfectly on my wireless network. But suddenly my Noxon sees all my neighbors' (encrypted) wireless networks but NOT my own (wep encrypted)! Therefore: No connection anymore.

At the SAME time my Philips SLA5520 continues to see my wireless network so this client works perfectly as always. Isn't that strange?

Why on earth is my Noxon suddenly blind when it comes to my OWN wireless network? I really don’t get it. (I have tried to move my Noxon next to my wireless router – same result…).

Terratec hotline found the answer. The Noxon products DON'T work on wifi channels 12 and 13. And switching to channel 6 solved the problem!
