Post by MikeThomson » Sat Dec 29, 2007 6:46 am

Hello,

i have some general questions about dolby sourround and twonkyvision.
Maybe someone can help me.

1) How can check if the video file supports dolby (5.1 / 6.1)?
2) If i streem the file with twonky to my TV where can i change audio to dolby? I havent found any settings on my TV (Philips 37PF9731D)

Thanks for your help

Mike

Download and use either GSpot or MediaInfo to inspect the video and audio codcs of your files.

On the streaming of 5.1 sound files, nearly all media players have an option somewhere in the setup what to do with 5.1 sound.

If you only have stereo speakers, you should choose "Downmix" otherwise you will not hear all the channels.
