"has invalid date" all over my hard drive!!!

Post by ggabriele3 » Sat Feb 16, 2008 3:28 pm

i noticed that several files that *should* be recognized by twonky were not showing up on my other devices.

so i went to see if there was something wrong in the files.

Twonky wrote THOUSANDS of files all over my hard drive with the title:

"[filename]_has_invalid_date.twonky"

where [filename] is the name of the file, like [fire.jpg]; it wrote one of those for each file.

no error message, just THOUSANDS of files all over my hard drive with no explanation and no apparent reason why they are not correctly recognized by the server.

i can't find any documentation about this.

please help.

I am having the same issue as well. 4.4.3.1

Is there any resolution for this?

Is there any way to STOP twonky writing these "invalid_date" files while it is trying to add folders to its database? They are bloody annoying because they cause Vista to stop producing thumbnail icons for image folders...

Hi

I wonder if this is what causes the occasional ReadyNAS failure when running Twonky 4? Just out of interest, where does it write these files to; is it within one of the Twonky directories or is it in the within the directories containing all the media files?
