Post by twonky-christian » Fri Apr 18, 2008 5:03 pm

Hi,

we have just released 4.4.4i with a number of minor fixes e.g the Roku should be detected again.

See http://www.twonkyvision.com/Download/Tw ... index.html

Thanks
Christian

It is a pitty that there is no support for embeded devices found for that release.

I did find support for embedded devices for Beta 5 Here.

Hi,

http://www.twonkyvision.com/Download/Tw ... cians.html

This links to 4.4.4i version. At least it does for the Linkstation Pro. You can chechk the Revision History file to be sure. For some reason 4.4.4i doesn't list my m3u playlists anymore for some reason (4.4.4 did that fine).

I was Running 4.4.2 (it was working perfectly) but decided to update to 4.4.4i becuase I have a Denon 3808, and also I use flac files. Ever since upgrading, Twonky doesnt scan all my directorys. I get half as many videos,Pictures, and music files when browsing via Xbox 360.
I was wondering if it had something to do with the 300 Folder Limit. But it was working 100% on Version 4.4.2 so I doubt it. Any ideas??

I should add im using a Synology CS407...

4.4.4 has a new photo parser, sounds like you have a corrupt media file, that's casusing the file scanning to fail. Try switching on logging and rebuild your database, it should identify where the scanner stops, move that media file out, and rescan, rinse and repeat if required.

If there appears to be nothing wrong with the file, (ie. it plays/viewable), then i'm sure Twonky support would appreciate a copy of the file if possible to help fix issues like this.

No scan error at all, it's just the playlist folder that's empty (except for last and most played folders)

I do have entries like this one in the logfile when I turn on scan:
12:47:57:635 LOG_SCANupnp_locate_playlist_file [210 - The Rolling Stones - Shine A Light.wma] [/mnt/disk1/share/Media/Music/The Rolling Stones/Shine A Light/000 - The Rolling Stones - Shine A Light.m3u]

but the playlists don't show up anywhere. It worked fine with 4.4.4, I didn't even add any songs when upgrading to 4.4.4i (using NAS version for Linkstation Pro)

Hi,

just installed 4.4.4i and my Roku SoundBridge is not detected :(
Also a manual insertion in .ini-file won't change a thing... switching back to 4.4.4RC1

BTW, TV5b1 does recognize the Roku (but doesn't provide Albums and Genres for search...)

I have found the solution: the playlist entries must be full-path-qualified...

Im quite sure this isnt the case. If I select to view only video, and select my video folder, it freezes. Nothing to do with the Photo parser.

must be bug or something though. it pretty much renders playlists useless for me because I change my directory structures every now and then

I had the same with my M1001, added it manualy to Twonky and then dis/re-connected the power from my M1001, after that it worked.

Hm, I think I did the same. Turning off my Roku SB1001, adding the MAC of it manually, restarting TV and turning on my Roku again. But no avail...
Will test it again.

Ok, now it works.

Here's how I did it:
- Installed TV 5b1
- Started it and turned all of my clients on (so TV 5b1 can register all these devices in it client.db)
- De-installed TV 5b1 (but keeping client.db!)
- Installed TV 4.4.4i and copied (overwriting) clients.db from TV 5b1
- Erased the twonkymedia.db directory (if existing)
- Started it, voilá it works.

But honestly, it should work out-of-the-box with TV 4.4.4i, right?? So, may we see a TV 4.4.4j?

FYI: I fixed this issue... It was indeed a corrupt media file (a *.wma file actually) Thanks mgillespie

Having another small issue now. I cant seem to rename my Root folders. i.e I want "Videos" changed to "Video Library". Every time I change it, it reverts to the default. Any Ideas?

Can we get some simple javascript on those dropdowns, so when a setting is made, the tree changes to Custom? I'm sure this used to work in the old days..

Stupid me.. setting to Custom fixed the issue, I should have paid more attention to my old settings. Again thanks.
