Re: Denon/Mac help
Which Twonky version are you using? And what file format are you attempting to play via Denon (mp3, wma, wav, flac)? What is the bit rate? Note that the Denon has some bit-rate limitations, depending on the file type you're using (e.g., WMA = 48-192 kbps; MP3 = 32-320 kbps). The only files that my Denon can see but not play are those with incompatible file formats or bit rates. See the Denon manual for a list of compatible (i.e., "playable") file formats and bit rates (for the Denon 3808, it's on p. 51, "Playing Network Audio or USB Memory Devices").

Re: Denon/Mac help
Using Twonky Manager 5.0 (only version I could download for the MAC).
Trying to manage an iTunes datapase (MP3 files).
Ideas?
Thx,
Ted

Re: Denon/Mac help
Don't know the bit rate. How do I find it? And can I adjust it?
When I pick a title, the Denon says Playing, but no sound and the time indicator doesn't move.
Thx again,
Ted

Re: Denon/Mac help
Hi Ted,
Navigate to one of your music files (one that won't play); then click on the column headings, and choose to add the "Bit Rate" heading in order to display bit-rate info. Alternatively, do the same thing in a media player, such as iTunes, Windows Media Player, Media Monkey, etc. Find out if the bit rate is too high for the Denon (depending on file type). What file type are your music files--aac, mp3, wma, wav, flac, or ?????
You determine the bit-rate when you rip a CD, or it's predetermined when you grab a file from the Internet.
