Hi,
I had search but I have found nothing about my Problem (or I haven´t understand it right)
I have a Windows 2003 Server with a Twonky 4.4.9.
After Reboot of the Server the Twonky made a Rescan of the HDD.
Is there a Way to stop this? I Mean the twonky has all Datas in his cache. can the Twonky write the cache on the HDD. Is there a value to set in the ini?
Thanks
Ta Lun
P.S. I´m not native englisch speaker so I hope you can understand my Problem.

I have exactly the same problem. It wouldn'[t be so bad if you could control what order it does the scan in, I'd like the videos added first, but it seems to things randomly. It takes hours to do my whole library. Surely it should store this information, not scan every time.

Re: Rescan after Restart
I don't get it: I have ~30,000 items in my library, and Twonky only takes about 3-5min to re-scan after a reboot. So, I would think a ~155,000 item library would only take roughly 5x as long, maybe 15min.
How can it possibly take 4 hours to re-scan?

Re: Rescan after Restart
I would really love a way to turn this off particularly on the NAS version but I'd have thought it would be a good idea on all versions. On something like a ReadyNAS, TMS5 hogs NAS resources until it has finished the rescan. In fact, I'd have thought that it would be best policy if it defaulted to not doing the start-up scan unless you specifically set it to do so.

Re: Rescan after Restart
Hi,
I set the rescan value to '0', but after every reboot of the NSLU2 running my Twonky Media Server a rescan is started. Why ?
I want the device to use the already present DB after a reboot and only do rescans of the shared files, if I start it manually via web interface.
Can anybody tell me how I can do that ?

Re: Rescan after Restart
Its a bug, the only people to fix this are the Twonky guys. Hopefully they deliver a replacement for this buggy version soon!!
