It took me some time but I now have Twonky media server up&running on Linux x86_64. I can browse my (jpeg) pictures, listen to mp3, but somehow on the Video front things are not working as they should: almost all my video files are reported as "Unsupported format" on my Samsung HDTV with dlna support.
The strange thing is that on Windows with the Samsung supplied dlna server x264 encoded mkv files play just fine. Isn't it up to the client which formats are supported, or didn't I understand things correctly? In short does Twonky media support mkv files and if not, why not?
