Many times I have seen issues here from people that have downloaded random files from the net, encoded with unknown apps and of unknown standards compliance.

Wanted to post a handy link, there are some free HD clips for download from the BBC Motion Library, and they are of a known quantity, if you are having problems streaming, it's worth giving these a try.
