How can I set up seperate folders for TV & Movies

Post by flashyphotos » Sun Oct 11, 2009 10:58 pm

How to Set up Multiple Seperate Folders for TV / Movies on a NAS (Qnap TS-410) streaming to a PS3?

I have a Qnap TS-410 6Tb Server, running Twonky 4.4

This has 2 Folders on it 1 for TV and 1 for Movies

This streams to a PS3 to play the media

The problem I have is that all the media appears as a single folder in the PS3 Video section,. I really need to try and seperate TV from Movies, any help setting this would be appreciated,

Having come from XBMC it was so easy to specifiy but I just cant seem to get my head round the menus and Trees in this.

Help appreciated

Just set up a Folder navigation tree on the Twonky Config pages then when you navigate by Folder on the PS3 you should see TV and Movies as your top level folders.

Hi

THanks, that is what I have tried

But I get on the PS3

Under Video - FOLDER
ALL

Click Folder and it just shows the TV & Movies all in alphabetical order.

I still Cannot Get

UInder VIdeo - MOVIES
TV
ALL

Not sure what I am missing, there must be some way to do this

Does it look the same when you use the Twonky Media Browser (http://<your-ip>:9000/webbrowse)?

For Videos on mine I have one node called Folder of type Folder and the Media Browser shows:

-ALL-
1st folder name
2nd folder name etc
1st file in top level folder
2nd file in top level folder etc

I'll try and see how that looks on my PS3 later, also on my Samsung TV, but I'm sure it will be the same as the browser.

Just checked on my TV and PS3 and it displays just as I expected, and as per my last post.

My PS3 has FW v3.00.

My ini file entry for Videos is:

# Video node 1
videonode1=Folder,%PATH

all others are empty.

Hey,

Looking through twonkyvision-mediaserver.ini i can't actually see anywhere a video node 1 would go? So would i list by folder and do the following?

# Movies node
videonode1=Folder,%PATH ##Putting dirs in

###Episodes node
videonode1=Folder,%PATH ##Putting dirs in

Just Wondering didn't ever actually think to edit this before to do everything...

Looking through the # Video node 1
videonode1=Folder,%PATH
