Hi,
I just downloaded the 30-day trial version of Twonky Media Server for Mac (5.0.68) but after installation I immediately get the message "Your trial version has expired." at the top of the server status page.
I have not installed any Twonky software before (I only just bought my first DLNA device - a Sony Bravia 52W5500). Can anyone offer any advice on how to get the free trial to work?
I don't want to pay straight away because all the other DLNA clients I have tried either don't connect at all (Nullriver Media Link) or have problems with playing unprotected AACs from my iTunes library (Eyeconnect, PS3 Media Server). I wanted to check first to see if Twonky was easier to set up.
I couldn't find another thread answering this so apologies if it has been covered already!

We don't know why this only happens to some users and not others, but unfortunately there is no way around the expired trial message.
The only option you have at this point is to buy the software and request a refund if you don't like it. As long as you request a refund within 30 days of the purchase date, you won't have a problem getting your money back. If you have any questions of problems, do not hesitate to contact me at tmm-beta@pv.com
Sorry for the hassle.

Thanks very much for the quick response.
I might try that option but for the moment I'm going to see if I can get by with just mp3 streaming (I worked out that EyeTV 3.0 can do this without the need for EyeConnect).

Just to throw something out there. have you checked the date/time/timezone is set correctly on these devices?

Strangely, today the trial period is ok, 30 days left
(yes the system date is correct)
