multiple network adapters

Post by fluxx » Fri May 07, 2010 8:53 pm

hello,

i am using the linux twonky server on a computer with 3 network adapters. (each adapters has its own subnet)
if i use the default config, the twonky server is reachable on all adapters including localhost and the wan ip adress.

how could i configure the server that only two chosen adapters will work?

the config file twonkymedia-server.ini allows only one ip. any idea?

greetings

fluxx

I doubt that you can do what you want. The Network config page says "If an IP address is specified the server will not automatically bind to all network interfaces, but just to the specified ones." so it looks like you can bind to one or all interfaces.

Can you just block access to the clients on the interface you don't want connected?

However, that uses plural, not singular, so you can probably specify multiple addresses. It is simply a question of what the separator is - spaces, commas or what.

yes, i thought so too. but what is the right separator?
i tried several serparators but no one works properly.

with spaces the server-status shows two ip addresses in a row
but only the first is reachable.
