PS3 no Stops Seeing TwonkyMediaServer

I purchased TMS after lots of experimenting and found it worked the best with my Unix computer and linking to my PS3. It's worked great for several months. I'm running TMS version 5.1.3.
Howwever, as of this weekend for some reason my PS3 will no longer see the TMS. I've checked the MAC IDs on the PS3 and it's the same that's registered on TMS network, I know that TMS sees the PS3, just the PS3 no longer sees the TMS for some reason.

Any ideas from anyone? Sony help forums are useless.

This seems a little strange. I'm wondering if anything has changed on your network, perhaps there is some change to your firewall setting as compared to before?

Here is one suggestion:
- Open the TwonkyServer's web configuration page
- Open the "Media Receivers" link
- Click the button that says "Reset list" (this will cause the Media server to re-discover all of the devices on the network.
See if this fixes the issue.

Mine did too!
I just watched a video, then i installed the new firmware on the ps3 (rolled out a few days ago) and the media server is gone and nowhere to be found
Nothing else was changed, i did a rescan for the server - nothing.

Any ideas?

Edit: Oh, i just had to restart the server. Now everything is fine again. Still no idea, why the PS§ did not find the server after the update, i did not touch the server.
Anyway, everything's fine now. Maybe that helps...

I tried resetting the media receivers as suggested in the initial reply, but it had no effect. TMS sees the PS3. It captures the correct MAC ID and everything, but the PS3 when scanning can't find the TMS.
I also had done a recent update to the PS3 to version 3.40. However, from the other post it sounds like that isn't the issue as for him it didn't cause a problem after he restarted.

Any other ideas?

I'm not sure if I have the same problem as the others or not. Like you I previously had everything working fine up until the latest update. Now I can still find TwonkyMedia when searching for Media servers on the PS3 but when I try and access the content I get a message saying either unsupported data if I access it through the Music folder or There are no titles/images through the video and photo folders. Has anyone had any luck sorting this out?

I can still access all the content on my laptop so it is definetly still there and un corupted.

I wish I could even get that far. My PS3 won.t find it at all. I know TMS can see it, becuase when I reset it, or even rebuild, it continues to find the PS3 and has the correct MAC ID for it. Just for some reason the PS3 can,t see TMS. However, my PS3 still finds my DirecTV media server. Also, a previous post thought he had the same issue, but got it working. So I'm still at a loss. I've been posting on PS3 sites' but no one there has any experience with Unix based systems or TMS. THanks for the post. If I ever find a solution I'll be sure to post.

Never found a solution. However, after a couple more updates to PS3, now the system sees TM again. I have no idea why, but it's all working now.
