[Solved] Go through 2 router

Post by Memes11 » Sat Jul 24, 2010 8:41 am

Hello,

My Qnap TS-109 is connected to mi first router (D-Link DIR-635). from this router, I then have a cable running to the second router (D-Link DIR-615, DHCP de-activated), then my PS3 is connected to the DIR-615. I can not see the server from my PS3, but if I plug th cable from DIR-635 in the PS3, there is no issue. What should I configure on the router 2 (DIR-615) to make it work?

Thanks

PS : I can not simply route the port to the PS3 as there are other Twonky client plugged on router 2. they all have the same issue.

What is even crazier, is that, when I connect the PS3 wirelessly to the router2, it works, but wired, can not see the servers.

to summary

config 1
TS-109 ====== DIR-635 ========DIR-615 =======PS3
it works

config 2
TS-109 ====== DIR-635 ===============PS3
it works

config 3
TS-109 ====== DIR-635 ========DIR-615 ))) ((( PS3
it does not work

where :
====== : wired connection
))) ((( : Wifi connection

My other clients are not wifi enabled, so I still need to solve the problem.

Thanks

OK, got it, the wireless was still as "Wireless Router", I switched it to "Access Point" and that's it.

So, if anybody else got the same issue, Disable DHCP is not enough, Wireless has to be putted in Access point too.
