Sony BPD-SX37 Album Art not working

Hello, I'm evaluating TwonkyServer as a DLNA server and I have it working perfectly with the Sony Blu Ray player save cover art from MP3 files.

Specifics about this setup:

- Ubuntu 10.X linux version of Twonky
- Folder.jpg (i've tried lower case with no dice) in every directory. I've also tried various other folder level files to no avail.
- all covers also embedded
- all covers appear properly in WMP11's DLNA view of the Twonky data
- all covers appear properly in Twonky's Flash browser player
- no covers appear on the Sony at all, neither on any of the interface screens or while playing.
- i've tried various different media reciever settings for the player and noticed no changes.

I've also had difficulties getting cover art to work to the device from the only other DLNA server I could get it to play from, so this might very well be the Sony implementation being broken.

We have Sony Blu-ray players in our test labs in San Diego and Berlin, so we should hopefully be able to help you with this problem. I've forwarded your post to our engineers so they can comment.

We did some tests on our BDP-S570 after making sure we were running the newest software update (Version M04.R.624). Unfortunately the news is not good.

Album art was not visible from TwonkyServer 6.0.1 OR Windows Media Server 12. That makes it seem is it a Sony issue.

Photo thumbnails work fine however. We are going to mention this to our contacts at Sony.

That pretty much matches exactly what I was seeing on the SX37...no album art via Twonky (or any other DLNA server for that matter) but photo thumbnails working correctly.

Hopefully your contacts at Sony can communicate the issue and get it patched...they seem to have zero support for their DLNA client anywhere that I can find.
