Xbox 360 - "By Folder" showing up multiple times

Please forgive me if this is the wrong place to post or if this has been answered before.

Twonky is working great so far, way better than ushare. However, I have noticed one weird and slightly annoying thing: when I go to view videos on my Xbox 360, the "By Folder" folder gets listed multiple times. I have no idea why, or how to stop it from doing so. Any ideas?

I had that same problem. A "rebuild database" on the maintenance tab fixed it up.

I find it only fixes it temporarily. That is, after you play a video, next time you go back in you'll have multiple "By Folder" views again. They keep growing with each video you play.

Same is happening to me, however it's not just showing this on the 360, it's also showing this on the twonky media browser.

It's like it remembers what was played and creates a new list.

Same problem with Twonky Server 5.1.6 running on QNAP TS-410.

Every time I rescan for media it adds a new "By Folder", which shows up on the XBOX, xmbc and the Twonky web based browser.

I get the same problem too on both my Xbox 360's. I've had up to 8 appear before now. The same problem cannot be said for my PS3 though - no sign of it there.

Edit - running TMS 6.0.1 on D-Link DNS-323.

I just added a new media file and now I have 48 "By Folder" entries.
Twonky started to hang soon after.

My QNAP NAS administration is hanging too and gives the error message:
There was an unusual problem serving the requested URL '/cgi-bin/index.cgi?count=0.6517517707580754'.

I don't know if it is Twonky causing the NAS to hang or vice versa.

Twonky support guys are you reading this? Doesn't appear so because you haven't chimed in yet. This seems to be a very common issue. What is the cause and more importantly, what is the fix? This same issue has been happening to me for several months now.

Linkstation Live and I tried both 6.0.1 and 6.0.23. Did not happen with 4.4.11.
